Switchgrass Seed
$28.50
Switchgrass (Panicum virgatum) is a native, warm-season grass used for erosion control, biofuel production, and the restoration of wildlife habitats.
Switchgrass is a warm-season perennial grass native to North America. It is used for forage, prairie restoration, and bio-energy production. While highly drought-tolerant, it prefers low, moist soils but can grow on various soil types. Its height and deep roots allow it to become dominant among native plants over time. It is also employed in conservation efforts for erosion control, as a bioenergy crop, and to improve wildlife habitats.
