- Rabbits may be fed free choice, continuous pellets with a sift bottom feeder or hand fed based on body weight and condition. A general rule of thumb for a 6 lb rabbit is ¼ cup of rabbit pellets per day when hand feeding. Good quality hay (Brome or Timothy) should be made available at all times.
